Guest Blog by SanTo’s Patron Taylor S: My Sushi & Sake Night at the Best Buffet in Coconut Creek

October 2, 2015

When I was invited to SanTo’s Modern American Buffet & Sushi for a Sushi & Sake night, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But, the moment I stepped into this amazing buffet in Coconut Creek, I was immediately impressed with the décor and the rows of sushi waiting for me. I was quickly greeted by a group of smiling faces, it was the buffet’s Third Anniversary Celebration, and Vivian made me feel at home right away. In fact, I was greeted with a sample of delicious chilled sake before I was even seated! That’s what makes SanTo’s the best buffet in town! Best Buffet in Coconut Creek, FL

Vivian had a wonderful table set up at the entrance to the buffet where people were learning more about the art of sake. Once I sat at my comfortable booth, the real SanTo’s Modern American Buffet & Sushi experience started. Let me tell you, if you’re into sushi, or if you’re craving a raw bar in Coconut Creek, look no further than SanTo’s Modern American Buffet & Sushi. They’ve got tons of sushi, sashimi and specialty rolls too. My personal favorite is the California Tuna Roll, the tuna was so fresh and plentiful. I also was sure to grab a helping of some of their fresh grilled items, steak anyone?!

As I was sampling some of the best plates at SanTo’s Modern American Buffet & Sushi, Vivian made sure I also enjoyed the full Sushi & Sake experience. Sushi may take center stage at SanTo’s Modern American Buffet & Sushi, but I think their sake is one of the best features of their restaurant buffet in Coconut Creek. Of all the delicious sake I tried, the Yamadanishiki Sake was my favorite. Vivian explained that this sake is one of the more unique varieties of sake they serve. This is because the sake is made with the same type of rice that’s used as signature sushi rice. The sake had a crisp flavor with slight dryness, but it was especially refreshing with my fresh sushi! Another great sake I had at SanTo’s Modern American Buffet & Sushi was their sweet Koshu cherry almond sake, which tasted like dessert on its own!

The restaurant had over a dozen different sakes to try that night, and of the ones I tried, I was impressed with each and every sip. I’ll be sure to stop into the best buffet again soon to try some of their other sushi rolls and sakes I missed on my first visit. Whenever you’re looking for sushi, sake, steak, sweets or a raw bar in Coconut Creek, I recommend stopping by SanTo’s Modern American Buffet & Sushi. Their delicious sakes are available each night, and you’re sure to find the perfect sake to complete your meal. Of course, if you’ve got a hard time choosing, you can always ask Vivian to help you pick!
